The Gurus of Interior Designing
There are artists who are not as famous as those in the field of fashion and entertainment. These artists might not get as many reviews and interviews as compared to the latter. But these are artists and experts in their own field though. Many of them have been acclaimed and acknowledged connoisseurs in their field. They are the interior designers.
Their diffidence to fame as interior designers has been ascribed to its conception, which was only during the latter half of the twentieth century. Even during that period, there was no such famous artist in interior designing. There were perhaps in the latter years, but not during its beginnings.
One thing that led to their popularity was the interest arising from the do-it-yourself craze.
From there, a number has become icons to the public. Many of them gained their reputation from the televised DIY programs. With such publicity, those interior designers accomplished more than fame.
Aside from those you see on TV, there are those bashful interior designers who are as good as their popular counterparts—perhaps even better. They are the ones who have been etching their names here and there among artists, making interior designing a decent respectable trade. They are the critics of their art, the masters of their trade, and the gurus of the succeeding generations.
Unfortunately, there are only a modest number of them. And they are most likely inclined to keep up with excellence than being featured and browsed on magazines.
You might not come across them. But when you do, you would surely notice how they keep an eye on detail making the very ordinary so astonishingly splendid.
