The Unfolding of My Kitchen
Recently, I bought a new house. Yet there was something that I had to do with my house. That was to redesign my kitchen. It had to be completely remodeled. It required a comprehensive renovation, and I was really prepared for it.
Since the kitchen is where I usually spend a considerable amount of my time, redesigning it to be fairly usable is a good alibi. I’m not one of those people who can easily picture things. I have to see it with my very eyes. This is one thing that I had to consider when having the remodeling.
So I leafed through the pages of some interior design magazines, visited a few home improvement stores, and generally did all the basics in the preparation. I kept a list of the information I had gathered for the day. I also took with me whatever clippings and brochures I could find. I even went my way begging for my dentist’s magazine which had a particularly nice kitchen design in it.
Late one night, after doing all the research, I proceeded to make a draft of my kitchen. From there, I supplied all the particulars that I wanted. Marked out the doors and took an opportunity to finish it in one of those ordinary days with pleasure, making it a memorable day for me now.
I gathered as many kitchens having the features I wanted from my source materials and embodied them into one kitchen, instead of having trouble to decide among those selected kitchen.
In due time, I placed back every single thing in the kitchen—from the sink and its fittings to the cupboards. From the last coat of paint spread on the walls to the last particle of dust removed on the countertop, I was very pleased more than you could imagine for having my very own kitchen unfold in front of my very eyes.
